To Our Valued Clients, Longtime Friends, & Colleagues,
We are thinking of you at this time and are committed to your safety. 1st Equity remains open, fully functioning and ready to serve clients. We will continue to provide the most up to date and accurate information as it becomes available. 1st Equity is classified as an essential business in the insurance category under the Governor’s Executive Order. Closings can be scheduled to be completed in person, by mobile notary and virtually through the Governor's executive order. The Executive Order is effective through April 18, 2020.
We are adhering to all government, state and federal guidelines to keep our clients, notaries and staff safe and healthy. Please see below and review the most up to date procedures. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact our office.
In Person Closings: Will be conducted with one signee at a time with notaries observing from the required distance of 6 feet away or more. When the first party/signee is complete, they will be asked to wait in a separate room while the next party/signee signs. All parties will be kept apart. Hand Sanitizers and gloves will be available upon request.
Mobile Notary Closings: Our mobile notary will drop documents at the door and practice social distancing while the documents are retrieved by the signee. ID will be provided through the window and the notary will then watch the documents executed from the door/safe distance. Once documents are fully executed, they will be dropped back at the door for the notary to obtain. The notary will then review the documents in their vehicle and notarize all documents before leaving the premise. The process will then be repeated if additional parties need to execute documents.
Virtual Closings: Can be performed upon request following proper procedures using proprietary software. The virtual closing will require proper audio video equipment such as smartphone capability or a computer equipped with webcam.
In all closing scenarios outlined, all parties to the transaction must be agreeable to the terms and circumstances of the closing. Please contact our office for any further questions.
